From Dirt Road to Cable Car
The road first
For decades, the only way up was the access road built in stages during the resort’s early years. It remains in use today alongside the cable car, and is still the route for most vehicle traffic and deliveries.
The cable car system
A cable car connecting a base station to the summit plateau opened later in the resort’s history and has been upgraded at least once since (verify exact years, names and technical specifications before publishing).
Why this matters for the story
The shift from a single winding road to a cable car is one of the clearest markers of the resort’s growth from a modest retreat to a mass-visitor destination.
